My day with Lars

This is my entry for #Search-for-the-Truth's contest, My Day with Lars.
For those of you who don't know, Lars is the pet Dalek of Allie, one of many of Search for the Truth's loveable characters. I love Allie. She's my favorite. XD

Okay, so here's the story of why Lars is stuck to my head:

Allie had a super-extra-secret mission she had to do for UNIT and, unfortunately, she couldn't bring Lars along. So, she hired me to pet-sit him.
For a while, everything was going along pretty well--I left Lars in his jar in front of the TV, checking on him once in a while to make sure he hadn't tried to escape--and to, of course, change the channel. This went on up until about eight, when Allie had told me to send him to bed. So I pulled him out of his jar for a good-night kiss (just kidding; I only tried to hug him) and, all of a sudden, he was trying to strangle me!
Well, not really. He just kind of glommed onto my head and wouldn't let go.
"What are you doing?!" I yelled between several purple tentacles, trying to pry him off of my face.
"If I take a hostage Allie will release me," he answered, in that trademark Dalek monotone.
At first, I was kind of scared; but after a while, he didn't do anything harmful, so I just kind of sat there for a couple hours, watching Top Gear while Lars continued to cling to my head.
Allie came back a little after eleven. Lars started making demands, but he never got them--Allie convinced him to let go with the help of root beer and a box of Pop-Tarts.

And that was my day with Lars.

You have NO IDEA what I had to go through to get this up here. Well, okay, it wasn't that bad, but it did take a while.
So first I drew the sketch, and I was too lazy to color it, so I decided to scan it to the computer and color it in Paint. I'd done stuff like that before, so I didn't think I'd have too much trouble with it. One thing I didn't keep in mind was the new scanner.
Mom got this fancy new one after the main comp died that she could hook up to her laptop. It's a pretty good scanner, I guess, cause it was technically my fault what happened. Our old scanner was also a copy machine--you put the paper face-down, close the lid over it, and start the scan. With the new one, you feed the paper through. Well, I did that, but apparently I put the drawing in crooked, because it got stuck and then I tried to pull it out, not knowing how to open up the scanner, and ripped my drawing in half.
Fortunately, I was able to scan both halves to the computer, but I don't remember what I saved one of the halves to. I couldn't find it, so I decided to scan it again. Every single time I tried to scan it, it got stuck, so eventually I gave up and started looking for the original scan again. I found it, scanned the second half, and managed to put them both together in Paint. Then began the long process of digitalizing (is that a word? o.o) the picture.
And after a few weeks, we have this.

I know, it's really boring, and it only has two-tone shading, but give me a break, I don't have Photoshop yet. Dx
I suppose I could've added a background, but... no. Paint is too tedious.
Also, I know the pants look kinda funny, but I scribbled that part to make it look more... jeans-y.

EDIT: Yes, my shirt has Gir on it. xD My biffle ~deathis2long got it for me for my birthday, and it matches the hat her mom made for me pretty well. o3o
